PBR at Wards and Boroughs of KMC & HMC

People's Biodiversity Register (PBR) is designed as a tool for the formal preservation of the traditional & local knowledge with proper validation. PBR is a documentation of knowledge, perception and attitude of people about natural resources, plants and animals, their utilization and conservation. The practice is highly appreciated in a village or a panchayat area for keeping an account of the locality on a holistic approach.

Nature Mates have efficiently done the work of Documenting Traditional Knowledge for the preparation of People's Biodiversity Register under the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (in 2019-2020) within its defined area. The same kind of project is also under process in the entire area under Howrah Municipal Corporation since November 2020, Due to the pandemic situation the work is progressing at slow pace.
