Conservation, completely depends upon the sustainable use of the natural resources. The most challenging obstacle in the way of conservation is to keep the fishermen, hunters or tribal people etc. away from over exploiting the natural resources. Arrangement of alternative livelihood for the people is the only way to reduce the over exploitation of natural resources but reform an army in favor of conservation. We involve the local villagers in Biodiversity gardening; groom young lads to guide tourists to the forests etc. to find out alternative money source for them rather than direct use of forest materials.

Awareness Programme:

Small steps in any field brings huge changes. When the question comes to combat against pollution, to protect wildlife or to conserve a ecologically important area it is always essential to involve the general people to integrate those small steps together. We organize awareness campaigns, nature study camps to make the issues clear to the commons to make our team stronger.

Bio-diversity Documentation:

In recent years conservation of natural resources has become a urgent need for our own survival. Before we conserve the question arises about Prioritization, i.e. why to conserve? where to conserve? and ultimately what to conserve? To decide that we need to have a complete idea of the resources of any biodiversity area. We are lucky to hold a potent expertise group to assess an area for different ecological factors including floral and faunal resources leading to proper documentation of the ecosystem.

In the present day scenario to conserve our natural resource of coal or petroleum without hampering the exponentially increasing demand of energy for the urbanization and industrialization, alternative energy source is most needed in every part of our country. Beside the use of solar power, wind power use of Bio gases has also become popular as potential energy source for household even for industrial uses. It also brings an employment opportunity for villagers as well as a quiet effective solid waste management measure.

Pest management in our gardens, home or crop-fields using biological control, i.e. natural predators, herbal insecticides etc. has become an useful alternative than the use of chemical pesticides to prevent pollution. Plantations:

There is no other better way than to plant a tree to fight against the Global worming and all other natural hazards we are facing today. A full grown tree can absorb ___ ml CO2/Year which is same as Many of the urban areas need to be restored to some extent to its natural condition, and tree plantation is one of the immediate steps we can follow to do that. But before we plant any tree in any place we have to take care of few things such as, i. to choose proper species to be planted, as native species are more likely to survive better; ii. Post plantation maintenance should be good enough to increase the survival rate of the palnted saplings etc. We organize tree plantation programmes, arrange native species saplings and post plantation maintenance as well.

Roof Top Garden:

Having a garden is like dream for many of us, but often it doesn’t become true just because of lack of space. Now it is possible if you have a minimum area space in your roof-top. We have made it possible to make a Garden even in a height of 13 story building, where some beautiful butterflies regularly visit the garden.

Gardens for any purpose are good for environment. We creates gardens with focul theme like Aroma Garden, Nakxatra Vanam, Medicinal Plant Garden, Dessert Garden, Aquatic Gardens and gardens with special requirements. All our gardens are mostly gardens of indigenous plants and with plants of foreign origin but have been well adopted by local fauna by now.

Solid Waste Management:

To keep our society clean and to fight against the increasing amount of everyday urban waste immediate action is needed for the management of our waste materials. Classification of the solid wastes, separation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable ones at primary level and then separate measures implementation for separate wastes is the basic principle for the solid waste management. Plastic and Glass materials can be recycled, biodegradable materials can be used for bio-fertilizer preparation etc.

Solar Empowerment:

Solar energy is the energy for future. With current advancement of technology, Solar energy is becoming more flexible and cheap. We believe in a world when all our energy requirements will be mitigated through solar power. We guide to establish various capacity solar plants for educational institutes, housing complex and other areas to drag down the use of traditional energy generated involving fossil fuel.

Tree Transplantation:

In many cases it appears very difficult to save a tree from being cut due to some developmental works. In that case just planting a new sapling is never a solution because it takes at least another 20-25 years to become a tree. So, for the first time in India we have taken an initiative and started transplantation of the trees to a new place rather than cutting it down. Still now we have restored more than 15 trees which were been uprooted by storm and totally transplanted near 10 trees and our success rate is more than 90%.

Urban Parks:

Due to habitat loss and de-fragmentation urban areas have lost most of its Faunal as well as Floral resources. Urban parks are the oxygen cylinders of congested urban life where you can still find some birds singing in the morning, squirrels rattling throughout the sunny days. You can still feel how it feels to walk on the grass? Children learn how spotted owlet looks like or how a Garden lizard grabs its prey? The urban parks are the pockets where some biodiversity is still surviving, and we need to be very careful to protect them. We work on documentation of the bio-diversity of urban parks and help the respective authority to conserve their resources accordingly.

Vermicomposting:

As a part of Solid Waste Management vermicomposting needs separation of bio-degradable wastes leading to preparation of Bio-fertilizers using earthworms. Generally Kichen wastes are colleted in Vermicomposting pit, and special species of earthworms (Such as Eisenia foetida) are used to process the waste into compost. This can be a promising alternative livelihood for many of the villagers leading to decrease in the use of chemical fertilizers.

Water Testing:

Aquatic ecosystems are one of the most important part of our environment and are seriously prone to any kind of pollution. To assess the health of any aquatic ecosystem we need to monitor the water quality of the particularly water-body through some chemical tests in a regular basis which includes DO, etc.

Wetlands / Water Bodies Management / Restoration / Creation:

In an urban area water-bodies work as the most efficient carbon sink. They can absorb Co2 as well as dust particles, heavy metals and many more harmful suspended particles from air. The wetlands are a great source of ground water recharge. Many wetlands holds huge source of income for many fishermen, even host many important migratory bird species in winter. So, we need to keep our wetlands safe.
